Suzie, this might be due to the recession. You'll see an "Economic Crisis Information" section near the top of many grantmaker profiles that provides details about how the current downturn is affecting a funder's giving.

I am finding that many foundations are either stating they are not funding for the remainder of 2009 and no funding will be made in 2010.
Is this a trend I need to watch for.
